For those working laboratory research jobs, I wanted to post a guide to let you know which modules to focus on and which could be safely ignored:
Ships: Frigates: my target is to get the Material and Time efficiency each to level 8 (8%/16%). Take them to 10 if you have the time and open research slots. Destroyers, Industrials: aim for level 7, Caldari Destroyers level 8 Cruisers: no more than level 7; any more than that costs more for the Corp to research than the gain in efficiency (unless we start large quantities of production).
Rigs: Small rigs: don't bother researching; they have too few materials for even a 10% to help Med rigs: aim for 7%; same as the cruisers- any higher costs more than we stand to gain from the increase in efficiency
Modules: If you use it, get it to 8. If you use it A LOT, go for 10.
Copies for invention: If we have a BPO of an item you will want T2 versions, put it in the design lab and run a BPC for 2 copies with max runs (600 for drones, 300 for small modules, 30 for frigates, just a few examples). When the copy job is finished, move the BPO back to the research lab. One BPC is for invention attempts, the second is used to make T1 components that will be cannibalized by the T2 manufacturing process (eg- 1x Damage Control II requires 1x Damage Control I, along with some other materials).
