I have written up a fairly comprehensive guide to R&D. It includes a list of basic skills you can learn (or already learned) that will make you a more effective researcher. Bottom line, the only skills you need to conduct research jobs are Laboratory Operation and Metallurgy. The word document summarizes pretty much everything I've read and learned on R&D in Eve, since I have not been able to find a timely resource online in one place. COMET research guide skills.docx (14.98 KB) The spreadsheet covers all the industry and science skills that affect research, copying, and inventing. Yellow indicates a skill for manufacuring, blue are your research skills, and the rest are the many skills required for inventing. COMET research guide skills.xlsx (14.07 KB) And here is a step-by-step guide to conducting a research job, from bringing a BPO to a research station, to checking on your job status. Research step by step.docx (16.72 KB) -Mit C.O.M.E.T Chief Scientist Chief of Laboratory Operations Assistant to the Regional Manufacturing Manager

These are a fantastic resource. I stickied this thread. Everyone should take a look at these. Even with some basic skills, you can help with research. Talk to Mithaniel about which blueprints to work on and what.
